RULES FOR EVENTS ORGANIZED UNDER THE "OWOSTRAVA" NAME
Please read the rules carefully! By participating in any official OwOstrava!!! event, you automatically confirm that:
You meet the minimum age requirement of 15 years on the day of the event.
You have fully read and understood all the points described here.
You commit to fully respecting all rules throughout the duration of the event.
You acknowledge that ignorance of the rules is no excuse for violating them.
You respect that the organizers have the right to enforce these rules and, in the event of a violation, to expel you from the event with immediate effect or potentially issue a permanent ban on future events.
Last updated: 08/03/2026
I. General Provisions
Age limit and registration
Participation in all our official events is restricted to individuals over the age of 15.
The organizers reserve the right to exclude any individual from the event in cases of doubt.
Not having the knowledge of the Rules and ignorance is no excuse
By participating in the event, you automatically agree to these rules. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse.
Every participant is required to read the rules before the event and fully abide by them.
SFW only zone
We operate among families and the general public; therefore, our events are strictly SFW (Safe for Work). Wearing fetish accessories or any hyper-sexualized clothing is strictly prohibited.
The organizers reserve the right to determine what constitutes fetish accessories and hyper-sexualized clothing.
Prohibition of sexual and inappropriate behavior
Any poses with sexual undertones, simulations of sexual acts, inappropriate gestures, or the making of sexualized sounds (e.g., moaning) are strictly prohibited.
Compliance with Czech laws and local regulations
Throughout the event, all participants must comply with the applicable laws of the Czech Republic, municipal ordinances, and the operating rules of the establishments or venues we visit.
Personal Responsibility
Participation in the event is at one's own risk. Each participant bears full personal and financial liability for their actions and for any damage caused to third parties or property. The organizers are not liable for unattended items, fursuits, or participants' valuables.
Zero tolerance for weapons
Bringing any weapons—including sharp weapons, knives, and airsoft guns—to the events is strictly prohibited. Only soft, obviously fake costume props approved in advance by the organizers are permitted. Bringing a weapon results in immediate and permanent expulsion.
The rules are a "living" document
These rules may be updated from time to time. The version currently posted on the official website (owostrava.cz) always applies. The organizers endeavor to provide advance notice of major rule changes.
II. Ideological Neutrality
Ban on Extremist and Hate Symbols
It is absolutely impermissible to wear clothing, badges, flags, armbands, or any costume accessories that promote extremism, racism, or discrimination against any group of people.
§ 403: Establishing, supporting, and promoting a movement aimed at suppressing human rights and freedoms (e.g., wearing swastikas, SS symbols, fascist insignia, or communist symbols and insignia).
§ 404: Expressing sympathy for such a movement (e.g., fascist and Nazi salutes, publicly displaying symbols of totalitarian communism such as the hammer and sickle in a promotional context).
§ 405: Denying, questioning, approving, or justifying genocide.
Political neutrality
Promoting highly polarizing political ideas, displaying election slogans or banners, and disrupting the event with political speeches are prohibited.
III. Protection of Nature and Public Spaces
Prohibition on destroying greenery
While taking photos (or spending time) in parks, forests, and similar locations, it is strictly forbidden to break branches, pick flowers, climb trees, or otherwise damage nature.
Noise restrictions
When passing through residential areas (or similar zones, such as parks), keep loud talking and shouting to a minimum. Respect the peace and quiet of local residents.
Consideration for the surroundings and public spaces
Be considerate of others and the places we visit through your behavior. Remember that whether we are in a park, on the street, or at a venue, you represent not only yourself but our entire furry community.
IV. Fursuiting
Consent
Always obtain clear verbal or physical permission before hugging, touching, or interacting with someone else's fursuit. "No" means no. Silence does not mean yes.
Respect for Fursuiters
People in fursuits have very limited visibility and often have trouble hearing. Do not approach them unexpectedly from behind, do not try to startle them, and do not make sudden movements right in front of their faces.
Oversized fursuits
If your fursuit has huge wings, wide legs, or similar accessories, you bear full responsibility for ensuring that they do not endanger other participants or the general public.
Protecting fursuits from damage
Fursuits are unique and expensive. It is strictly forbidden to pull on fursuiters' tails, ears, wings, or paws, or to jump on them unexpectedly. Bringing sugary drinks or food near fursuiters is also prohibited.
Handler recommendations and assistance
We strongly recommend that every fursuiter have a handler with them in public. If you do not have one, do not hesitate to ask the event staff or other attendees for occasional assistance.
Breaks and hydration
We strongly recommend that every fursuiter brings their own drinks and takes breaks if they feel unwell or tired.
Only a limited amount of water—or none at all—will be provided by the organizers during the event. The organizers are under no obligation to ensure your hydration.
V. Audiovisual recordings
Privacy during photography and filming
Photography and filming by participants are permitted only with the prior consent of the person being photographed or filmed.
You are permitted to take photos of your friends, or of fursuiters themselves with their permission...
Wide-angle shots featuring large groups of people (whether in fursuit or not)—or, more generally, photos where it is realistically impossible to obtain permission from every individual—are designated as an exception.
However, we cannot guarantee that the public will not take photos or videos of the group or specific individuals at our event.
Photographing and filming "headless" moments
Do not share photos or videos on social media of people who are currently changing clothes or have removed their fursuit head without their explicit and clear permission.
Nedokážeme ale zajistit, že si veřejnost nebude fotit nebo natáčet skupinu nebo specifické osoby z naší akce
Posing for the crowd and consideration for pedestrians
If someone is taking your photo on the street, do not stop in a way that creates an impassable barrier on the sidewalk. Also, make sure the spot where you are posing is safe.
VI. Smoking, alcohol, and narcotic substances
Comprehensive ban on smoking cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, and vaping
Smoking conventional and electronic cigarettes (including vaping and heated tobacco products) is prohibited, with the exceptions described below. We ask participants to fully respect this rule and to be considerate of other participants and fursuiters.
Outdoor areas outside the group, designated smoking areas
Enclosed spaces, non-smoking areas, near fursuiters and the group
Alcohol for adults only—consume responsibly and in moderation.
Alcohol consumption by persons under the age of 18 is prohibited. We ask adult participants to drink responsibly and to observe the designated areas for alcohol consumption.
Severe intoxication that disrupts the event may result in the relevant authorities being contacted.
In a pub, in a restaurant, in places where alcohol consumption is permitted...
During a march or movement, within areas where alcohol consumption is prohibited...
Prohibition of drug possession and use
Possession and use of any illegal narcotic or psychotropic substances is strictly prohibited and results in immediate, permanent expulsion and reporting to the relevant administrative authorities.
VII. Participant Safety
Recognition of the Organizing Team
For your safety and the smooth running of the event, our team members are clearly identifiable by their reflective vests with OWOSTRAVA!!! on their back. Each color signifies a specific role, so you know exactly whom to approach at any given time:
Orange vest (Lead organizer)
They are responsible for the overall management of the event, the route, and any necessary communication with authorities or the police. They make final decisions and handle serious rule violations. Please turn to them in the event of serious or highly escalated situations, or if an assistant organizer refers you to them.
Yellow Vest (Helper)
They ensure safety during movement (e.g., at pedestrian crossings), keep the group together, and oversee adherence to rules within the crowd. They are your primary point of contact for general questions or for reporting minor issues.
Red vest / uniform of the relevant medical assistance unit (Medic)
A person equipped with a first aid kit and first aid knowledge. Turn to them immediately in the event of any injury, illness, or dehydration, or if you see someone who has collapsed or is suffering from overheating in their fursuit.
The medic provides only (lay) pre-medical first aid. In the event of serious health issues, the participant is required to summon emergency medical services themselves (or with our assistance). The organizer bears no responsibility for participants' underlying health conditions.
Safety Supervision
Security personnel will monitor the crowd, either from within or from the outside. This security presence may, but need not necessarily, be marked.
Resolving conflicts with outsiders
If a member of the general public reacts aggressively toward you, do not argue. Ignore the person, do not respond to provocations, and immediately inform the organizers; they will handle the situation from there.
VIII. Powers of the Organizing Team
Respect for the organizers
Instructions given by the organizing team and medical staff take precedence and must be followed without delay. Their word is final on-site. Please abide by this and avoid arguments.
Right to Refuse Entry to an Event and Imposition of a Permanent Ban
The organizing team reserves the right to deny you entry to the event before it begins if your condition or behavior poses an obvious risk to us, the community, or the public. They may also ban you from attending future events.
Force Majeure and the IRS (Integrated Rescue System)
In the event of a crisis or upon the direct instruction of IRS units, instructions given by the organizers and Integrated Rescue System units take absolute precedence over the event program and must be obeyed immediately and without question.
Right to change the program
The organizers reserve the right to make ad-hoc adjustments to the route, schedule, or event program at any time, particularly due to adverse weather, safety concerns, or unexpected obstacles. The organizing team strives to inform participants of any changes as soon as possible.
Right to exclusion from communication channels
The organizers reserve the right to exclude individuals or groups behaving inappropriately from the official information channels of OwOstrava events at any time.
Lying to organizers and covering up infractions
A group or individuals who intentionally cover up a serious offense committed by someone else, lie to the staff, or obstruct an investigation bear the same responsibility as the primary offender under the rules. This may also result in a permanent ban from all future events.
IX. "TRAFFIC LIGHT" Infraction System
Color indication of "status"
Each participant starts with a clean slate, but if they break the rules, their infractions accumulate and they move between three color-coded zones:
Green zone (0 infractions)
You are a trouble-free participant. You have no infractions on your record and fully respect the rules.
Yellow zone (1 to 2 infractions)
The participant is on probation. This means you are still allowed to attend our events, but the organizers are keeping a much closer eye on you.
Red zone (3 or more infractions)
Reaching this limit results in an immediate and permanent ban from participating in all events and exclusion from our community chats.
Definition of "expulsion"
Expulsion from the event entails the immediate revocation of participant status, a ban on participating in the official program or photography, and a prohibition on entering designated or rented event areas. Should the expelled individual continue to disrupt the event in a public space, the appropriate administrative authority will be summoned to address the situation.
